about roxanna
I started with my first “real” camera as a Mother’s Day gift from my husband while pregnant with our first daughter. With that camera, we documented my growing bump and our first fur baby who was the same age as our developing baby.
After our second daughter was born, I dabbled with the idea of starting a business, asking others in the industry about the ins and outs but was fearful of jumping into entrepreneurship with two very small children. Our first son came along and while I still enjoyed taking photos, I put my goals aside to raise these tiny souls God has so graciously given us.
As we thought our biological family was complete, we began our adoption journey. In the fall of 2019, I attempted a fundraiser to contribute to our adoption fund calling it “photos for family”.
While that fundraising event was successful, photography still seemed like an out of reach adventure for another time in my life. Then enters our second son accompanied by the craziness of the year 2020! I began to reevaluate the way I wanted to spend my time as a mother and financial contributor to our family.
Though I absolutely love aiding mothers as they bring life into the world as a labor and delivery nurse, I desire to share my talents through a creative, more artistic avenue: through photography.
In June of 2021, I decided to finally proceed with fulfilling my dreams to become a family lifestyle photographer and to establish Roxanna Nicole Photography.
